This was Steve and I’s first wedding at Durham Masonic Hall and I have to say – what an amazing venue. The staff are an absolute dream too – especially Kenneth who facilitated the day for Beth & Kieran. It seems to be becoming the thing now that the groom gets the chance to have a bit of wedding day pampering too and the groomsmen treated themselves to a shave and haircut at the House of Gentlemen in Durham. They were very accommodating to me taking the pictures and even allowed us to stage a shot of the groomsmen doing a bit of grooming of their own. Beth wasn’t too impressed that we pretended Kieran was getting a tattoo upstairs though. It was one of the rainiest weddings I’ve shot but the weather didn’t spoil the day at all. If anything the presence of the umbrellas added something unique to the groomsmen shots. The room for the service is simply stunning and the light from the stained glass windows lit the couple beautifully.
